Would you buy a crashed and repaired frame?

Parlee frames are highly desirable.
It would be a shame to scrap the frame.
It looks like you have two options if you wanted to save the frame:
1. Get a carbon repair specialist to make the repair.
2. Get Parlee to make the repair - if they inspect the frame - they may even re-instate the warranty if the frame
is structurely sound after the repair - this would be the more expensive option.
Clearly you could choose to sell the repaired frame but you cannot expect much after the cost of the repairs.
I have seen broken frames sold - with a quotation for repair although I have no idea if anybody has taken the risk.0 -
Carbon repairs in Leatherhead give a lifetime warranty with their repairs. They say that in most cases there are no problems in repairing carbon frames to as good as new. If its my size Ill be happy take it off your hands for £200.00.Pegoretti

And if the crash was far worse than the OP states?I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
This was the extent of damage to my Foil. Figure the down tube must have hit something hard on another bike resulting in that total delamination "puncture", point (which almost went thru the entire tube wall). That then sent a kind of radial crack around the tube... Oh, and a snapped rear mech, scuffed Di2 lever/ hood, rear mech and delamination of the outside edge of the carbon sole on brand new pair of S-Works shoes
(and blood)
Frame's riding just fine now :shock:0
