No, that is not the logical conclusion from that premise.
For example, my Colnago Master has rainbow stripes. Acceptable?
As long as it isn't this much.

Isn't that Cav's bike?0

Of course the actual world champ stripes aren't really rainbow stripes despite commonly being referred to as such - the colours are not in rainbow order and they include black..
An LBGT (proper rainbow) striped jersey in otherwise world champ style would be weirdly interesting to behold.0 -

can anyone tell me where's it written down that the World Champs Jersey, Yellow, KOM etc are as sacred as the Supoerbowl ring etc ? I cand find it on the UCI, Le Tour or ASO Websites.
All this talk that you cant wear this or that is just elitist *******s , you can wear whatever you want. The other day I went out in my Domina Vacanza World Champs kit, with white shorts, and felt just like Cipo. If it gets you into cycling and helps you in enjoy the sport then who gives a s***.
If you aren't meant to wear these jerseys then why do they sell them. Same with football, the premier league winners get a different badge on their sleeves to donate they are the current champions, you can buy these to put on replica jerseys too, despite none of these people having even started a league game, let along won the title.
Last year I was cycling in Monaco \ Menton and saw loads of professional cyclists while I was out there. I spent the entire week in my Peter Sagan Slovak National Champions jersey, I have several different versions, and none of these pros cared at all. One Spanish rider even slowed down to my pace and had a chat with me, it made him laugh and he didn't care at all. If the pros don't care, then what's the issue
When it comes to pro kit the brighter the better, I train in full Astana winter kit0 -
There aren't any "rules" - it's a free society and you can wear what you want. No one is going to shout at you for wearing a jersey unless they have "issues". Some people subscribe to a tradition of not wearing world champs, gc jerseys etc to help maintain a mystique around them and as a way of showing respect to the people who win them. It's just one of those quirky subcultural memes that helps to make the world more diverse and interesting. You don't have to pay attention, it's not the law, but it would be good if you allowed others to make their own choices too and to politely advocate for them.0

pah, you cyclists think you have it so tough. You try riding a motorbike .... when you get the person wearing the Rossi replica race helmet, because you cant see his head under the helmet, you don't actually know if it is him or not ... I mean when you see someone wearing the Yellow Jersey, you kind of know its not actually real one and that person isn't actually a pro rider .... but going down the Portway in Bristol, I cant tell if Valentino IS actually overtaking me !!!!0
-
Yeah - god forbid I have my race helmet painted in colours close to Mansell, Hill, Palmer(s), Herbert, Clarke, Hunt, Button, Hamilton, Surtees, Moss, Stewart, etc (let alone the hundred of other F1 drivers) in case I'm mistaken for them.... And I can't run my car in either red or white because they were Alfa factory team colours and it was never a factory team car. Oh, and sh!t, my race number is 77 but that was Ayrton Senna's race number (or Valteri Bottas's now) so that could be confusing....ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0

I think this one can ultimately be filed under the same guise as folks riding an aero bike or weight weenie. Doesn't matter as long as the person has a good attitude and is good to ride with. If they are a douche, it doesn't matter what you wear or ride.
With both team kits and awesome bikes though, be prepared to either suffer the insults or dole out some pain to those throwing the insults by generating some watts.0 -
Noone stops you going shopping wearing a full Spiderman outfit, but that doesn't make it a good look. But if it makes you feel good, go for it.0

I am of the opinion that anybody can wear whatever they want when out cycling or, indeed, doing anything else. I am also of the opinion that I can think whatever I want about such attire, albeit I would usually keep it to myself. However, on this occasion and having refreshed my memory on the Domina Vacanze stuff in particular, I will make my views public - as Del Boy Trotter once said, "no way Pedro". It just goes to prove that one mans 'stylish kit' is another mans nightmare. Also wasn't the Peter Sagan jersey a bit whiffy if you wore it for the whole week or did it get washed every night?Cannondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra

They're not yet two, so I'm playing the long game - I fear if I introduce them to Cipo's sartorial gems now they'll actually like it...0 -
