Oh yes, I see.
What about Capri? Spike Milligan went there.0 -
I read that: 'Mussolini: My part in his downfall'.
About Harry Seacombe and hi shell shock: "A bomb went off above his head when he was asleep. He would have been all right if they hadn't told him".seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
Spent a memorable summer reading all his books.
And it's "his part in my downfall".0 -
Loved the bit about Seacombe blowing rasberries and singing rule Britannia before going to sleep in the bath and where Spike had to take the razor off him as he was trying to shave in a manic state.
I think I read them all too.
Oh and the bit where they lived in the loft above a pub in Sussex during training and the pi$$ barrel got too full...seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
I'll need to read them again, it was over 25 years ago.0

Ah, you all spotted my Milligan quote about revolving swonnickles? Read all the war memoirs as a young teen. I thought they were amazing. As per Gaz, I must re read.0
