Not so much praise for Audi and their lack of a spare wheel / useless bottle of sealant..
When I bought my Q5, I told Audi that the deal was off unless I got a spare. OK, it's only a space saver but it's still better than no spare at all and it was free.

There's a suggestion on road.cc that Fausto Coppi might be a trademark....wonder if they asked nicely? My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

The "Coppi Silk Scarf" sounds expensive for what it is, £50 for one small square sheet of material that doesn't do much.
You should try Hermes mate... their silk scarves makes that look like a steal.0 -

I like the differential state of these products. From the £170 wool thing that, well, looks a bit wooly. To the Coppi inspired piece of modern man made fabric.
I wonder what Fausto Coppi would have thought to spending £170 on one jersey?

I would imagine he'd be turning in his grave. I read his biography. They rode through snow in heavy woollen jumpers that their nans had knitted. No Pro Team Shadow for these guys! The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Assos seem to have stood still on the development and gone a little euro porn in their designs.“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring”

I like Rapha and don't understand the snobbish anti-snob attitude. They're just clothes. I personally buy the pro team kit because the XS fits my moderately pathetic 55kg 5'11 frame. I like the minimalist designs, I know they're not to everyone's taste but I'm not sure why some people have a problem with wanting to have nice looking kit. It's pricey, but the quality is good and as someone who has worked for Paul Smith, I think their customer service is great. I could get cheaper kit, but when I look at the big picture I think it's worth it.0

They still make the best kit though, eg the tiburu shorts. Nobody does it better.
I've owned 2 pairs of tiburu shorts which have been excellent but I've recently bought a pair of pro team & classic shorts and while the longevity of the latter is untested the build and comfort from both pairs is up there with Assos. The difference between the pro and classic is the material and chamois but for comfort there's not even a gnat's cock between the two.“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring”

I was a real fan of standard Assos bibs, but they never seemed to last longer than 2 years as the lycra went thin grey and almost transparent, which is never a good look, so now relegated to the rollers, no such issues with the ProTeams, I also like the long length option so as cost and comfort is similar it's a no brainer.0
