Grrrr fecking brakes have both seized up, I'm down to just the front brake which I have to manually release by pulling the top of the calliper. Why won't somebody fix them!

Home to a children's play date this evening. Date is prone to unexpected tantrums so should be interesting.Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0

avoid mad people, if they're mad now they will only get madder
off to office, probably bail early and practice skiving ready for a more intensive skive tomorrowmy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Date? Does Seano have a new squeeze? That was quick.
I can see now, I couldn't see anything until just now which was mildly concerning. It turns out the overnight works updating our electrics in the office over ran. Now the lights are on I can see again so that's a relief. I don't have a traditional Thursday hangover today as I felt too rough to go to the pub last night. Mind you I probably feel better than Stevo who should be back at work after his dirty weekend.
Leaving early today as going to see the girl's psychotherapist with the Mrs for a progress report as they are approaching the point of signing her off which is good news obviously.
onwards and upwards...0 -
Just ploughing through work hoping that at some point it'll stop raining/snowing/hailing/etc etc etc but i've resigned myself to refitting my mud/rain/snow/hail guards in readiness for the weekend.
Tonights plans are a haircut, a run and hopefully an early night.Advocate of disc brakes.0 -
Stunning ride in this morning, quite constructive day so far, going to finish a couple of jobs then a tad of lunch, some weights and pick up the bambini from school.
All good methinks.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Lovely day spend in the bunker of work spending the day either calling people idiots or telling them no, like the guy who mailed me saying he needs access to bet365 for "work purposes"
Knocking off early today hopefully as ended up doing some unwanted overtime last night. Means I can go nose at some cycling goodies that have arrived at home for me.0 -

Never. I shall conquer all. I AM APPLE BLOKE BUT BETTER.
Come on, you're talking to the guy who can't even make pictures appear on this here forum or work the air conditioning in his car. But I can make a darn good espresso and build a damn fast motorbike, so there's hope for me yet I suppose.
As an aside, just had to have a pop at the kid down the road who bombs through our 20mph zone at 40 on his crappy scooter ignoring the fact that we have a multitude of children, dogs and old people living along the road. I explained in small words what we all felt about his riding and that he was going to die at some point but judging from the fact that he's just bombed past again just as fast he wasn't listening.
I didn't have the heart to tell him that about 2 years ago I had to scrape the remains of his sister off the road after she got her scooter stuck under a 4x4 at the end of the road after pulling out in front of it. That was a fun afternoon. I particularly liked having to tell her mum what had happened.
Next time I'm just going to kick him in the nuts and throw his keys in a field.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Yes - I noticed Dachshound thread was curtailed. I actually don't mind the way Josh did it because in the bad old days we all would have been banned - fair play to the dude, he did have a semi relevant point........Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

If they cry let them do their bits then a day later ask them for a coffee, ask if everything is ok then inform them that as they were away from their desk for x minutes they will have to work it back.
Blubber time don't come for free in the cut throat world of banking, you tell them.
If they don't want to work it back the door is over there.....Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Or just get a company medical done so the bugger doesn't keel over and die on you.
So chubster is the guy who blubbing? Maybe a self worth correlation? Poor bugger may be going through some serious personal stuff.
Or could just be a fat lad in a biff job. One of the two.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

One and the same. I think you're right on both accounts.
Might have to lean on you for some mental health advice0
