    Just tuned in to see Stannard trying to go off the second chase group up to the Sagan group. Didn't get away though.

    After getting annoyed the gap started dropping more or less straight away, so I suspect he's decided to call their bluff.

    Either that or he's already knackered.

    He's got a decent point. They're a strong 4 with a decent gap, Sep and GvA are two of the strongest cobbled riders in the peloton - they're over 40km out. A bit of collaboration and they could increase the gap, stay away and sort it out later.
