Hi I've 14 weeks to prepare for a 70 mile Fondo with 4,000ft of climbing. Would love to complete it in an average of 15-16 mph.
Currently starting from fresh, last ride was 25 miler 1st Jan averaged 14 mph over hilly terrain also Carrying the xmas excess.
I do have a regular 37 mile route with 2,450ft climbing (with a 3 mile ave 3% climb and 2 mile ave 4% climb) and by adding an extra loop increasing this to 46 miles (and an extra 2 mile climb ave 3.1%) with 3000ft of climbing.
Last year completed 100 miler, completed a number of 50-60 mile rides so I know what it feels like.
Just getting over the cold/cough
Weather really bad around me at the moment but I do have a turbo and HR monitor. And will get out when I can. I also work 12 hr shifts 7 over a fortnight.
So can anyone
Recommend a plan
Recommend Turbo sessions
Recommend how I can utilise my routes to best effect.

Ride your route twice, once in each direction.
Keep doing that until you can do it at 15-16 mph.0 -
