The Diamondback is the better spec but probably heavier, however i personally like the Giant better and it has the better forks out of the 2.

I'd disagree, the Giant has the much better fork, and better chainset and cassette, the Diamonback only scores on the headline grabbing rear mech.

Ignoring price I'd take the Giant of the two but for £600 less I'd grab the Trott, leaving plenty of money to change the purple parts and even the frame if you really must, the fork would still be better than the Diamondback and still has a Maxle to the DB's QR.
Current steed - Whyte T129, 2013 frame, mongrel Revelations, Giant dropper, Stans S1 wheelset. 12, Magura Trail Sport brakes, 1x11. 12.8Kg
  • Thanks for this great hels as ever both I agree are good specs for money the additinal 225 though for the Giant is it worth that extra.

Yes mate all day long, have always found Giants backup to be good and the forks are the better ones as mentioned above.
