I have decided on the 1 x 11 - ration and looked at following both have the features I'm after
650b drop post clutch - budget 1000ish

considering price 725 or 1099 - which one is best?

    I'd disagree, the Giant has the much better fork, and better chainset and cassette, the Diamonback only scores on the headline grabbing rear mech.

    Ignoring price I'd take the Giant of the two but for £600 less I'd grab the Trott, leaving plenty of money to change the purple parts and even the frame if you really must, the fork would still be better than the Diamondback and still has a Maxle to the DB's QR.
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Thanks for this great hels as ever both I agree are good specs for money the additinal 225 though for the Giant is it worth that extra.
