    The top two consolidate their positions this month, Durrin's exploits at L-E-L see him leapfrogging Rainbow Dash into third place. Ugo closes the gap to fourth and it's pretty much "as you were" for everyone else...

    Ugo nips ahead of RainbowDash in the battle for fourth spot and CharliePotatoes does the same to JayBM for sixth... for now..? As ever, Runner2Cycling smashes it up and heads further off up the road.

    It isn't going to happen. A week off the bike with a stomach bug and wife working every weekend meant that, unless I pulled a sickie at work or I left the kids to their own devices (neither of which I'm prepared to do), I couldn't to do a decent ride this month. :(

    Although I'm miffed that I won't stay in the game I will try to ride at least 3 centuries before the year is out so that I will still have done 12 rides. Looking to do it again in 2018 - and complete it.

    RainbowDash drops out with two months to go and relinquishes fifth place as a result... commiserations too to Simon E, but well done on what I presume is still your best year of riding :D

    Top two positions cemented in as they have been for a while, but can Ugo steal third place from Durrin in December? Elsewhere a good month for Diplodicus sees him (her?) make it a three-way fight for sixth going into the last month. At the business end of the field, Mike Eye continues to covet the lanterne rouge :wink:

    bloody hell this is going to be touch and go for me, sick for over a month and only one day left this month where i can get out for more than a couple of hours, gulp!

    It was very hard to stalk you, seeing I can't do so directly... I had to resort to the Danish GC of the Granfondo challenge for December... :lol:

    And therin lies the challenge. 12 metrics in a year, isn’t that hard, if you put your mind to it. At least 1 in each month of the year? That’s where the challenge is. You’re demotivated / bothered by poor weather conditions in the first couple of months, and carrying knocks / Ill / busy, in the last couple. That’s the point, it’s not as easy as it looks on paper.

    Runner caps off a monstrous year with another big month - chapeau sir! Milemuncher munches plenty to claim second spot and despite Ugo's best efforts Durrin hangs on for third place. Webboo and itboffin fall at the last :( . Mike Eye claims the coveted lanterne rouge.

    After 24 consecutive months and over 100 cumulative points it feels a bit of a burden... sometimes I'd just like to go out for 2-3 hours without looking at the mileage... :lol:

    Just go for a ride, and if you find that you’re close to the requisite ton, whilst out, do a bit of ‘off piste’ to bring it up a bit, rather than set out to ride a ton deliberately. It may be easier to do it that way ( take out the compulsion element). I reckon you’d be surprised how quickly you rack up the ton rides.
