Winter Willy Waving

Surely adding some salt to your drink would prevent freezing? Frozen bananas make great weapons though.
Weather is bizarre though was out at the weekend in summer gear with a base layer. Its mid November I should be battling through snow and frozen pensioners.0 -

You, of all people, are most welcomeROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
I wonder if there is any correlation between not needing to wear much clothing in winter and needing an 11 sprocket.0

Seeing people with flesh exposed in winter just makes me think they've not got enough kit or not been out in the cold before.
You never see TdF riders in jackets and winter gloves after all....0 -

If you "need" (odd choice of word) an 11 (tooth?) sprocket it's probably because you "need" (that word again) to go very fast (probably down hill) - I can't imagine what not needing to wear much clothing in winter has got to do with that? Descending at speed is probably when you need most clothing (all things being equal). What's the correlation?ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
The tile of thread might give a clue.0

Now if you'd put "semi compact", instead of 11T sprocket, it would have made more sense.
I still don't get why anybody thinks wearing less clothing is "willy waving" - makes no sense to me whatsoever. Perhaps we could compare home thermostat settings in some sort of "Stat Envy" thing? :?ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

Was riding yesterday 2 degreesC (merino base layer/castelli thermosuit and and DHB windslam jacket) i was just about comfortable came across a 'youngish' lad going in opposite direction in shorts and short sleeve top. He wasn't going very fast, I can't help thinking I should have stopped to ask if he was okAll lies and jest..still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....0

Anyone capable of willy waving after a winter conditions ride either isn't doing it right, or chapeau! The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

Have you ever been out on the "Toon" in Newcastle on a Friday or Saturday night in the middle of winter? You'd be stopping every few seconds if you're worried about people getting cold because they're not wearing much...ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0
