If he was a real mate, he'd combine the two for you and have the stag do in Chamonix or similar.

Missed the cutoff for Tuesday. Wasn't much to report anyway.

Haven't you got a bloddy job yet? FFS.
Surely a criminal record isn't an issue over there?

    It's a prerequisite for a career here.

Haven't you got a shed load of stuff you could sell and retire?

  • Shed contents are currently being flogged off slowly, yes. Even made a (little) profit on some of the bits, but the overall effect is still a loss. Wonder if I can write that off on my tax. Stevo??

Semi-retirement is tempting. If we can get this house finished to the point it can be sold, we'll do ok. A few places in the street have changed hands just lately for reasonably encouraging prices.

Then move to Alice Springs. You can live in a tent - no heating required. Cheap. Then write your memoirs. I have an old antique tripe writer you can borrow. I want it back though. Shouldn't take more than a week anyway

yep that's it, george peckham used to put it on discs he mastered

Always wondered where that came from. I used to buy white label 12" records and I've got one with that scratched on it.
I'm left handed, if that matters.

Never been to The Alice. Bl00dy cold in winter I hear. It's approximately the same distance for me as London - Moscow for you lot.

My memoirs are too sordid for print.
