Seems a worthy cause and a very decent route0 -

Didn't look at the course, but the area is nice enough... more so in summer than in winter, I have to sayleft the forum March 20230 -
I'm entered, top bracket. Bit close to home and often cycle down that way but at least there are plently of riders to test out how winter training is going.
Going to cycle down and back to make it the first 100 miler of the year. Fingers crossed weather changes as its been bloody freezing on Sundays for weeks!0 -
I guess a clear from ice morning is all you can hope for in February. If you pray for sun and 15 degrees, I fear it won't happen
PS: I said the same before the Fred Whitton and it turned out we had 25 degrees, so keep at it... :-)left the forum March 20230 -
Hope to see some of you at the Rawlinson Bracket on Sunday. Weather looks alright. I'll be on the fluoro bike with fluoro jersey.0

I might have my yellow/black Flanders helmet and a very green Gabbaleft the forum March 20230

Breezy day, especially towards the end... when it was tail wind :-), but a surprisingly fast course. Briefly met Sebbyb at the start and then got a long tow from Dishdash from the top of Edge hill to the bottom of Sunrise hill.
Home made cakes at the finish were a nice touchleft the forum March 20230 -
Ended up missing it because of my hip. Looked breezy from the kitchen window. At least the ice has gone away today0

It was breezy, but only the bit between sunrise hill and Brailes was a bit of a slog... maybe 20 minutes in total... on the way back the wind got stronger, but it was mostly tail wind or sideleft the forum March 20230 -
Was a lovely ride. Well organised! And the roads are in much better condition than down my way with some good climbs. Only problem was my broken spoke, which went about 15km into the ride, though the wheel survived until the end (even with a groove in the tyre from where it rubbed against the mudguard).
Good to ride with you Ugo, sorry we didn't chat much! Though you're pulls were much appreciated...0 -
Good ride Sunday guys! Sorry out encounter was brief Ugo, Decided to give it a right hammering to see how winters training has gone. Nearly bonked after tagging onto a really fast group after Edge hill for 45mins. Really needed the cake & coffee before riding home! 165KM avg. moving 29.5km/h so a tough day out!
Bike gears were really bad, set it up in the workstand perfect the night before, but something went wrong overnight0 -
Shame i was out of the loop for this - would definitely be up for one in the future."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."
PX Kaffenback 2 = Work Horse
B-Twin Alur 700 = Sundays and Hills0 -
I thought about organising something for the coming autumn, but then I also thought there are plenty of Audax rides to choose from... this one is organised by our very own Phil Whiteman, I have signed up, it looks relaxed enough for a 200 km in early October... anyone wants to join? The start is conveninetly only a few miles off the M5/M42

Might be up for this depending on when ill be having surgery on my knee and hip. If i havnt had it by then ill see what i can do.
But, the biggest ride i have done so far is 103 miles but with similar climbing, so adding on another 20 odd miles i hope wont be a huge problem. Will know more for sure nearer the time i guess. My winter bike is exactly the same as my summer bike,,, but dirty...0 -

You won't win anyway... whether you do 200 km the day before or not, so you might as well...
