Aftermarket Discs

Hi All.

Any recommendations on aftermarket discs, I've used Supersatar on my trail bikes with good results, bar for one of there old Alpine discs ( think that's what they were called ) they were getting rid of which I didn't like that much.

It's for my sons Mega Pro it's running 180mm F&R he will be riding Juvenile DH next year, think a 203mm front might be a bit over kill when he's only around 5 stone.

I use uberbike floating discs without any issues but have used the ordinary superstar discs as well and they worked just fine.

I think any discs will be fine it's more about getting the pads bedded in to disc.

I've not found Uberbike floating rotors to be very durable, mine are dead in under a year.
With only 5 stone on board though they should be fine. I wouldn't go bigger than a 180 rotor. Grabbing a fist full of front in a panic with a 203 rotor will most likely send him flying!

I think they are all out of stock now, but I got Formula Oro 180mm and a Formula Lightweight 160mm rotor from PX for £10 total, as part of an order over £50.

Is that due to using metal pads? Mine are used with organic.
