The Official Sufferfest Training App

Hello fellow Sufferlandrians,

I am coming to you from the deep dark caves of Mount Sufferlandria. Grunter Von Agony has requested that I reach out to any Sufferlandrians at bikeradar.com that may need assistance with the new Sufferfest training App. That's right! Sufferlandrian's worked overtime at the lactic acid stand to raise money for our very own training App. The App is currently available for iOS and OS X and is being developed by the newly Knighted Reid Weber.

You can find our iOS app in the App store and you can also download the Mac App from here ttps://app.thesufferfest.com/download/mac

We offer a free, 7 day trail to try the app out.

This discussion thread will be used so Sufferlandrians can discuss App improvements, training plans (Road, Cross, Triathlon), equipment integration, the Tour of Sufferlandria, Suff Day, or who has the best Chamois dance.

Here are the things we are working on now.
-FE-C integration in July/August. We will control all of the smart trainers in ERG mode.
-Two new videos will be released in the next few months.
-New and never seen before content on The Sufferfest App only!
-The Windows App will be available in September/October.
-The Android App will be available late fall/early winter.

I buy the app for a few $ 's (how many?) .. of course having to wait for months and months for Android is a given... but I have all the videos, so I can use the app with the videos I have, without having to pay a monthly fee, correct?
  • That has been suggested by a few users. We don't integrate the purchased videos like trainerroad. You can stream the videos to the App, or you can download the videos internally. Downloading them internally let's you take the app and the video anywhere you want.

A great recommendation though. We will take any recommendations for improvements. I'm creating a list right now for App improvements.

We will also be integrating our training plans into the App in the near future with some additional App only content.

Please .. would be great if you can take that on board.... have bought into SF since 2010 with my first purchase of a now very ropey 1st edition Downward Spiral.. still ok to train to though.... it's just that with having 26 in the library, I reckon I am fully on board with the ethos of SF.
My own version of an app, is to to view a video in VLC on the phone (on the stem tied down with a rubber band) and the SF exertion grades with their equivalent power outputs on a piece of card stuck to my Garmin 520.
