For those looking thinking it's an MTF, it is a 3% average over the last 27km

Should be a good chance for someone like Alaphilipe today, if I was a betting man that is where my £1 would be going.

Im not sure what to make of this climb, its long and in two main parts neither of which are super steep. I suspect lots of very tired legs but I cant see any of the main favourites distancing each other. Hopefully an early break comprising people with no hope of the GC will be allowed to get away, brought back within a minute or 2 of the GC group.

Me too, looks tailor made for him with the form he's in. If he's 40 seconds off in a 3.9k 9% monster, he should hang in today

PTP has this as a two way fight between Alaphilippe (19 picks) and Dan Martin (10 picks). No-one else attracted more than two picks.

Blimey I'm the only one who's gone for Gasparotto.

The leaders: Bauer, Calmejane, Gougeard, Huzarski and Teklehaimanot. Peloton at 3'10" after 13.5 km.

I nearly copied you based on your Taaramae (?) pick in the Giro (that was you right)

I picked Alaphilippe for this stage and then read the inrng review and realised everyone else was going to as well!

I think Gasparotto is a good pick, but I've stuck with my first choice.

Pure MTB favoritism led me to pick Vuillermoz (or however)

Plus Dan Martin is a constant excuse machine (prove me wrong Dan!)
We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

kwiatkowski leaves the front for Sky and ride on, Gujart leaves the rest of the break and goes for it

Kwiatkowski seems to be struggling to close the gap any further though.

Gougeard giving it beans, maintaining a gap of 1.27 Kwiakowski (spelling) not making much impact on the the lead but moving away from the peleoton very slowly

Remember the gap on screen is to the yellow Jersey not Kwiatkowski.
