Great stage.................thanks to Nibali having pretty awful form.
He'll keep attacking, hoping he finds it, until there is no race left.

    So this era's Merckx wins.

And just to be clear Firsanov isn't the guy that won the TT on Sunday.

Nibali done and dusted. 5th at best for him this Giro I think.

Does make you wonder who's going to pick him up for next year and pay his mega ££ salary. His palmares suggests he would be dominating this race against this field.

Didn't Ciro Scognamiglio say Nibali is a bit lazy and doesn't like training? Looks like he left it too late this time, or that would be the generous explaination.

Fair warning, I may hitch myself firmly to that bandwagon....

I see some people have apparently started calling him "Crushweak" :) No idea if that is remotely similar to the correct pronunciation though!

UI = Ow (as in the word Out is pronounced the same but spelled Uit)

IJ = Eye - I think in Dutch it is considered one letter..

    So Krous-wike

(England Forward George Kruis certainly says it wrong ;) )

    Who cares!

I'm off to Maastricht tomorrow to ride and join in when the nation eventually decides to party!

Or at least check out any special cycling deals at the local Jumbo.

    Interesting insight into Patrick Lefevere's political sympathies - https://twitter.com/PatLefevere/status/ ... 7131148288

I wonder which way he'd vote in the EU referendum if he had a vote

Ah they don't know what they're missing.

Didn't catch a lot of it - was working, but he really was the strongest rider today.

Not bananas yet, but I'm getting more nervous and enthusiastic. We're not used to winning Giro's anymore.... Uhh, we didn't win the Giro until now.

    Watched the highlights, fun stage!

Even though I knew the result I was still willing Chaves to close the gap... I thought he rode well anyway, seemed to be on the front a lot. Obviously Kruijswijk is looking great (till he takes his helmet off, the ginger).

    Nibali's next move?

Crap highlights though,go for an ad break and then when it comes back the Nibs has been dropped;I mean half the programme was showing the pre-amble,main event of one of the favourites being dropped and they don't show it.

Whatever we think of past 'indiscretions', he's a hell of a bike racer.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.
