Great scenes at the end there with Cav's DD team rolling in and Tommeke with Alaphilippe & big hugs.

Well deserved white jersey for Powless this week. One to look out for in future, same goes for most of the Axeon team tho :D

Surprised at just how big a gap Cav achieved over Sagan.

Looks like a bit of road work has brought him back to form, but won't be easy to juggle track and road. Good to see him win again though and with such apparent ease.

Great race from Axeon, finished 2nd in team standings, 3 in the top 15 and took the entire podium for young rider.

All in all a good race. It was a bold move to place what was always likely to be the deciding (Queen's) stage on day three and it almost worked out with BMC working for Rohan Dennis on Saturday. It is a shame we were denied what would have been the potential icing on the cake, a battle between Alapilippe and Lil Pete up Gibraltar Road, but there were other highlights to savour, with the inevitable Sagan show and Cav's sprint there right at the end.

Highs - "my man" for the overall, Team Axeon and Cav on S8
Lows - Lil Pete & poor coverage of the women's race

I have a cracking one of Sagan on that same climb, if you can post it, Rick
