Hello fellow cyclists from sunny Cyprus.
I ride since the last year the ghost panamao X4 (trekking bike) and i have already did 2000km on this year. I am thinking that its time to go to the next level buying a road bike.
Before 3 years i had a lumbar herniated disc that affected a nerve, and i couldnt walk for like a month. I didnt do any surgery but with physiotherapy and counterirritant medicines i am fine. Since then i never had any real pain, even if i ride off road.
My question. Can somebody with my condition use a road bike? i am 37 years old, and like 5-6kg overweight.

I would check with a medical professional, cycling helps some conditions but can be very detrimental to others.
The riding position on road bikes varies from head down, stretched out racing to shorter, upright touring position.0
