Indoor training - Quietest option?

I'm moving into a shared student house next year and want to take some means of indoor training with me. Obviously, being students, I can't identify a point in the day when everyone (there are nine of us) will be awake, let alone tolerant of the racket my current turbo trainer makes. I am on the ground floor so that makes life easier, but what is the quietest I can get? Rollers or turbo. Obviously cost is a factor.

Of a proper turbo then the Tacx Neo is by far the quietest, but there is still noise involved even if most of it is from your drivetrain.
IME rollers are not quiet at all, in fact not only are they loud they make quite a disturbing whining noise.
But the absolute quietest cycling machine is an exercise bike - we have one of these http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 859674.htm and it's *totally* silent even going at full gas.
Personally I don't use it as the geometry is every amount of wrong, but if you want super quiet...
Keep in mind that you will definitely need a fan of some sort and they aren't quiet either.0 -
Neo, it's the only option I've found that lets me train early morning without worrying about waking the rest of the house up0

Probbaly a direct drive model with magnetic resistance; not air. Direct drive because the tyre on roller gives some vibration (does on mine anyway) which means noise.0 -

The Tacx Neo and Elite Turbo Miun would fall into that category. The Wahoo Kickr doesn't as it emits quite a whining noise from it's drive belt.0
