Kneepad Knewbie

Hi all,
I'm in the market for a pair of kneepads - i've never owned any before - and i'd appreciate some advice if possible!
Most of my riding is done in local woods which are pretty rooty with the odd flint but I don't think that I'd call them heavy duty. I am, however, going to be doing bike park wales / local trail centres more often this year.
The two I had in mind were http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/race ... prod113081 and http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/categ ... -15-49667/
I quite like the modular idea for 7idp but the raceface pads look much more comfortable (if they aren't comfortable I won't wear them very often..)
Any help appreciated! Other product suggestions welcome too.
Cheers,
Jack

Depends on how much pedalling! Comfort is a biggy for me as most of my riding is XC style-ishBossnut - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13069531

Some of the gear, less than no idea...0 -

Great article! It's a toss up between the ixs flow and the trail skins. Any opinions? Anyone tried both?
Cheers for everyone's input

I hate to agree with this goon but they are excellent pads. The Troy Lee lightweight pads are also excellent.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I have the Dainese Trail skins in a M and they are great. Literally can't feel them unless I want to. Also, besides my knees having survived a simple drop test onto the floor, they have been saved several times by the pads (including some situations that must have hurt quite a bit-still no pain)-Cube Acid 29" 2013

Thanks for the input, it sounds like I will be spoilt for choice whether I get the Dainese or the IXS pads that a previous poster's article recommended. Will come down to which fits better I reckon
I'm still kinda intruiged by the modular approach of the 7IDP ones, though, but the time that I would use the heavy duty addons are so rare I am not sure they're going to be required.0
