Benoot abandoned due to illness, and Felline crashed in the neutral zone, breaking his nose, and is undergoing surgery now.

Just seen a repeat of the Felline crash. I guess something must have got caught in the front wheel.

    From the Ardenne thread.
...applying logic to overcome a sense of incomprehension is the key to understanding this race. And there is truth in numbers. Six of the climbs come in the first 92 kilometers — one every 15.2 kilometers. The remaining 25 come over the final 165 kilometers. That’s one every 6.6 kilometers. Breaking it down further, the final hour of racing has eight climbs in 42 kilometers. Now we’re down to one every 5.25 km. At 40 km/h, that’s one every 7 ½ minutes. Not overly funny, and definitely all business

Easy to get snobby about this one but it is a proper distance - 248km.

If the weather is anything like it is here in London, it's lovely and sunny but very cold; lots of buffs in the peloton at the roll out.

Listening to that Felline accident on the home sound system wasn't ideal.

Looks like he was fiddling with his brake and got his hand stuck.

    Benoot has also stepped out.

Voeckler chilling at the back of the peloton. Notices the camera is behind him; wiggles his ass.

Steady pace so far, a bit of trackstanding going on further back.

    Vuillermoz down

    Very leisurely in the peloton.

Think they saw the gap get too low to the break and they reined it in.

It's blue sky in Holland right now but it was miserable at times this morning. Looks like there is a chance the race might get a taste of that at some point...

That's a bl00dy dark cloud. If it's like the one I just missed earlier then it will hail.

Rain coming down now, looks like the bad sort too, proper wet.

If you're already suffering after 200km this is only going to compound it, looks bleak

Looks bleak and horrid. Blowing on fingers, shaking blood into fingers etc - yuck. And no team cars to get clothes back for the break
