    Morning Losers!

Today's going to be a hot one, so I've got the legs out on show. Calm yourselves ladies!

So, Good news everyone! The job that I've been applying for for the last 6 months finally got in touch yesterday, and I've been offered a job, which I have accepted! I hung up from the call and handed my notice in. According to my HR department, it was the 'most unexpected resignation the office has received all year'. Not sure what to make of that.

Anywho, as of 31st of July, I shall be PC Mule as I've joined the plod!

My dog-walking friend is coming round later to celebrate.

Are you going to change your username to 'thekickingpig' ? :P Congrats KM, now I understand why it took so ferkin long.

I'm packing up shortly and headed home. I've saved quite enough tax for today and looked at more numbers than any human being should have to do so deserve a cold cider for my efforts.

Well done TKM, I bet you enjoyed handing your notice in. Be careful around bg, you know he's nice to pigs right up until he sends them to the abattoir.
Nothing exciting to report down here. The Thursday mild hangover subsided by about midday, a warm but fairly mundane day was made a good day by having lunch with the Mrs. Just been sorting the car out ready to hand it over to the new owner tomorrow.
    Roll on the weekend.

    Fridayyyyy

    Morning Losers!

Handing my notice in was both pleasing and scary! I've worked here now for over 11 years, but I'm glad to see the back of it. I'm going home to my native Red Rose County! I haven't figured out how to tell the guys in the office yet though...

Today, I have a lot of stuff to sort out. I've found a new form of enthusiasm all of a sudden, how random, mainly about how I do certain procedures and stuff. None of it is particularly difficult, I just don't want them phoning or texting me when things go wrong.

    Roll on 3:30!

When I left the last place I had several phone calls asking me how to do stuff or where something was. I had worked there for 2 years, the guy phoning me had worked there for 12. Shortly before I left the previous manager had gone, this bloke hadn't learnt a thing in 12 years as it was easier to ask someone else. I had to tell him I didn't work there any more before he'd leave me alone.
Quite a busy Friday, as usual at this time of year. Car should be going soon and I can pedal home. Hopefully all will be well for picking up the new car tomorrow. Going to Brands Hatch to watch a load of Minis racing after I pick it up. Should be a nice sunny day as well. I can already hear the pub calling for later.

Now relaxing with cold cider and a few Macc Lads tracks on YouTube as there's deck all on telly. I'll sleep like a log tonight as I'm knackered. Got some bike fettling tomorrow as I'm due to be downhilling later this month - first time in 6 months as well. Roll on...

    Back to Work Monday

    Morning Losers!

Well it was a busy weekend, I spent Friday night at my Dog-Walking friends house, she then went on holiday with her family so I came home on Saturday, only for me to go back to Bury on Sunday for a breakfast, which included bacon butties :)

Today marks the last week that I have to work with retard minion alone. It's going to be a long one.

    Afternoon folks,
Busy weekend has been had. Picked up the new motor on Saturday, lots of space for bikes in the back. Watched a bit of racing at Brands then spent the rest of the weekend drinking beer or doing stuff around the house and in the garage. Busy morning and a dull afternoon of work have been had, nearly time to fark off for the day. Woohoo!

    Evenin' All :)

Good pedal and I'm knackered now. In between got our quarterly reporting finished (thanks minions) and stuffed my face with food & coffee. I remembered just in time that it's our wedding anniversary today so managed to nip down the petrol station on the way back :D

@Veronese - 2,000 litresl of boot space is quite handy isn't it?

    Tuesday

    Morning Losers!

Retard minion has taken Wednesday to Friday off, which is news the whole office wanted to hear! The only problem is, I wanted Thursday off to look at some houses and go to the bank, so I'll have to rethink that.
Today, I might try and escape work to go to the bank and ask about a mortgage. I go in with a mask and gun don't I?

Is two thousand litres reference to Tlw1s weekly booze intake?

    Morning freaks,

Wee fee has been broken due to some nasty storms or other, meant i almost had a conversation with mrs13!
Established contact with our local farmer yesterday who has been harvesting his wheat, got him to drop us off a bale of hay for our animals, the bale itself is frikkin huge, he also dropped off some barley so that's the chicken feed sorted.

    Not much else to report.

It's a reference to how much booze I'll be bringing back from Italy  None of that French rubbish.
Morning, honest citizens of the crudcatcher*.
Not too busy in here thankfully, but they've asked me to work until 5.30 today which I think is inhuman. Admittedly I'm not coming in until 11 on Thursday but that's fine by me. It's actually pretty dull in this place today, I might have to turn the phones off and have a kip.
    Onwards, to mediocrity

    * Now TKM is joining the filth we have to keep up the pretence. He'll never catch on.

Not sure you'll actually fit 2,000l of grog in the back but its worth trying, just for scientific purposes :)

Busy day at work followed by a trip to the East End to see Stropteen pick up some random Physics prize at Queen Marys. Avoided getting mugged at least and some free grub into the bargain. Now headed home for a short rest...

    Wednesday

    Morning Filth Dodgers!

Nobody need worry in here. I just hope my new bosses never find this forum, I think they'll be cancelling the offer!

Retard minion is off for the rest of the week, meaning people in the office can talk about my leaving without worrying he'll walk in. When he returns (and my other minion), I'll inform them both straight away.

Today I'm sending some stuff off that I sold on eBay. Other than that, it'll be a quiet one.

Indoors based work today as it's a bit miserable out. Once menial chores are finished i might watch some weird blokes riding bikes around France.

Bon après midi lickerrrs des fenetres.
See I can speak French if I want to. There seem to be more idiots than usual on the phones today, I mean the other end of the phone to the one I'm on. This has made me far busier than I wanted to be. Thankfully today being Wednesday I will be in the pub drinking beer of the brown variety. This is particularly important as the Mrs has her wino club at ours tonight. They claim it's a book club but they never mention books and they drink a lot of wine. Running away and hiding in a pub is definitely the safest option.
    Have a good one.

    Hola Mongitos,

I'm practising Spanish as Stropteen is off to Valencia for her Spanish school trip on Saturday. Peace will then partially reign at Casa Stevo for a week, after which I'm escaping to Wales for a spot of downhilling 8)

    Thursday

    Morgenverlierer (Morning Losers!)

If we're being European about it, there's the Naz.. I mean German welcome.

Yesterday was a busy day at work. I didn't do any actual work, but I did package 3 large items and organise their delivery in the morning, then spent the afternoon looking for houses to rent over on the proper side of th'ills. It's all looking good for now.

Still no retard minion, so it's lovely and quiet in the office. Today I'll be doing more of the same, and then leaving early so that I can go to a Q&A session for the new job. Exciting and terrifying!

    Afternoon all,
been a bit busier than I would like as I was late in after a meeting at the female child's school. This also means I have to work until 5:30 which I consider inhuman. I thought of Angrybird whilst in the pub last night. We were discussing the TV show Banzai, one of the guys remembered one bit where they had 3 vets each with an arm up a cow's aris and you had to guess which one was an amputee. Which vet, not which cow. Quality television aimed at drunk blokes.
Only a week to go until our holiday, very much looking forward to it.

Banzai was ace, better not show it to our work visitors :D

Busy day at work but we're out the door at 5.30 for our departmental booze cruise. Could be messy but will definitely be entertaining :P

    FRIDAYYYYYYYY!!!!!

    Morning Losers!

We should get Banzai back on television, or on Netflix! It was brilliant!

I went to the Q&A session last night and was given my plod number and told where I'd be stationed: Rochdale. Oh dear.

Today I am leaving early again (because I don't care now) and heading darn sarf to Kent, visiting my old uni housemate who's got himself engaged and bought an house. On the journey home, I might swing by another part of Kent and visit another of my best mates who I haven't seen for too long.
