At the risk of jinxing this.... The new Eddy Merckx isn't looking too bad, kept out of trouble, done little work....

Let's hope his bowels hold out. That's been the problem in the past right? Struggles in the longer races with the squits.

IIrc, he had trouble with energy gels so had to stick to normal food. Which caused problems in long races with little to no down time.

Someone will probably corrrect me shortly though.

Just to give you an indication of how this year's race is so much better than last year's...

This is the point that Wiggins "attacked" last year

Like a sad shag with its 20 seconds of excitement.

Aren't they meant to be like that?
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

Hang on a minute, all you lot going on about attacks during advert breaks are having us on, each time we go back to the action they're all together...

I said! Just a leg tester

Ah ha, this explains him eating some chocolate a minute ago.

I think the podium will be Boonen, Vanmarcke & Stannard in some order or other.

    F@ck me I'm nervous.

Desperate for a last Boonen win, even though your "no Etixx classic" prediction will be blown out of the water?

    Stannard, EBH, Boonen.

    That's my preferred order.

    Partly.

I also get some decent wedge if Boonen and/or Sep are on the podium!!

I'm still nervous, and I never got round to putting that money on Boonen.

It's been such a good race, it would make it all the better if Tomekke could win

As much as I want a record winning Boonen win I've got £100+ potential winnings on the line with a Stannard win here...
