Last World Tour team to win?
The season is about to start, so the race is on to be the last World Tour licensed team to register a victory.
By victory I mean any UCI registered road race catagorised .1 or above. Victories do not include national championships or classification jerseys (points, KOM, etc)
The nine teams in the poll have been selected due to being the WT teams with the fewest wins in 2015 (minus Orica who have an early season advantage)
(My pick is Cannondale)
18 Jan Etixx (TTT San Luis)
18 Jan Orica (Ewan Tour Down Under)
19 Jan Tinkoff (McCarthy Tour Down Under)
23 Jan BMC (Porte Tour Down Under)
23 Jan Astana (Lopez San Luis)
24 Jan Movistar (D.Quintana San Luis)
28 Jan Lotto Soudal (Greipel Mallorca)
30 Jan Trek (Cancellara Mallorca)

At least Cannondale have done some recruitment... Lotto-Jumbo basically still the same and so my pick to take the trophy again...0

Agree. Cannondale look much better for more wins this year, IAM have Pelucchi, Lampre have Modolo and Kump, so it has to be the Jumbos.0 -
Going with FDJ, they got off to a slow start this year too, plus their win rate isn't huge is it0
-
Well...this topic has certainly shown up who your friends are!!!
I've picked Jumbo because I pick them for everything, but I'm quietly confident, as I am at the start of every season, that they will stay injury and puncture free and rack up the wins in a golden year!Half man, Half bike0 -
Going with Cannondale, recruitment or not I just can't see them getting it right.
Rolland's going to win the Tour!0 -

Rolland's going to win the Tour!
By which point every other WT team will already have at least one victory...Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
I don't understand the point of IAM cycling, so voted for themIt's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0

I don't understand the point of IAM cycling, so voted for themPassionate about cycling, convinced of the visibility and the great development potential of Swiss cycling, Michel Thétaz, CEO of IAM and founder of IAMFUNDS.CH decided 2012 to invest in order to create the only Swiss pro-continental cycling team. No doubt that the philosophy, which is the foundation of the company IAM’s success since almost 20 years and the investment style of the IAMFUNDS.CH funds, based on judgement, discipline, patience and vision, will allow the IAMCycling Team to follow in the tracks of IAM.0

Cannondale.
I think Lotto NL will be keen to get one on the board to avoid the hype of last season.0 -
was going to say FDJ, but they'll probably scrape a .1 victory in French race no-one knows about.
So Lotto Jumbo.0 -
I was torn between Lotto jumbo and Lampre but I went for Lampre as I don't really know what their "Thing" is.0

I'm going to nip in with AG2R for 2 reasons-
1. In every French chipper, FDJ or Cofidis will nab it from them
2. No one else mentioned them yet0 -

As Inrng said in his post race roundup after the 2014 Tour (I paraphrase):
Lampre rode as if they were hiding from the police. Turns out they were.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
I went for Lampre as they never seem overly visible at least Jumbo will be mixing it in some of the classics0

Modolo is a very capable sprinter and needs a bit of form fairly early if he is going to pick up some stages at the giro, would go with Lampre if it were for after May!0

Trek
Just to be contrary“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

So Lotto Jumbo.
Great point, rules out lampre for the same.

I voted for Jumbo but only because I completely forgot IAM existed"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Too late...your name's gone in my book!Half man, Half bike0 -
I can't believe there is more than one team on this list. Unless Jumbo get a breakaway win, they will finish the season winless.
(Teunissen aside who I think is a huge talent).0 -

If he wins and we haven't we'll all be gutted. Not that my local bookies actually seem to know what cycling is, they get all confused...0 -
I hope to be there and will ensure you are adequately advised of the glorious result.Half man, Half bike0
