Is the Hi-Mod not a bit too light to be durable though ? Maybe for a racing snake with single figure body fat percentage the few grams make a difference, but for normal mortals carrying a few 1000 grams of spare timber, can it really be worth it ?
It's fine - it's a bicycle, not the space shuttle.

Have you used SRAM before? How different was it to Shimano?0
