Cycleops VT - Routes from Garmin

Hi,

Question for anyone using Cycleops VT and have a Garmin, is there a way to import routes from Garmin or Garmin Connect to Cycleops VT?
I can't see how I could add a route that I ride on the road to CVT to add to my career mode/training schedule.
Is it possible?

I have found the only reliable way to do this for new routes is to use ridewithgps to create a route and then export it to a gpx track file and then import into virtual trainer. Don't forget to smooth out the elevation otherwise it can be unrideable. I find setting the max elevation to 8% and the smoothing 1 click right of middle provides a fairly smooth ride.

You can also export from Strava as a gpx and import and quite possibly garmin connect but I havent tried this yet.
