Question on USB Ant+ Sticks

If I pair my speed/cadence sensor with a USB dongle, will it still be paired with my Garmin or will I have to re-pair every time I want to use my Garmin?
Ideally I'd like to run both at the same time so that I can see all my usual stats on the Garmin but have more info showing on the laptop.

The sensor doesn't actually pair with the dongle, just broadcasts a signal so AFAIK you could have as many garmins and dongles receiving info from a single sensor as you want.0

Magic. Thanks.0

It's worth noting that while ANT+ can work in that sort of broadcast mode. Bluetooth can't, it's a one to one pairing.0

Its certainly possible to run both. The stick listens for data, as does the Garmin. There is no concept of a head unit locking and owning a master device. So this will work (and is a good idea).
Keep in mind, that the USB stick can only be used by 1 application at a given time. So running some software that uses the stick AND something like Garmin Connect is not possible (just exit whichever program you are not using)0 -
Although I'm led to believe you can use two ANT+ sticks to run two programmes side by side. Although I haven't felt the need to attempt it.0

This is correct.0
