Worst race of 2015??
Take you pic - could be the outcome, the magnificent scenery, scintillating parcours, the massed ranks of thrilled spectators, enlightened commentary/ camera work.
Which race spectacularly missed out on floating your boat this year.
My pic has to be San Sebastian. Lots of potential, but the race was ruined by motorbike interference and the coverage was all over the place. Even Adam Yates didn't know what was going on at the end, and he was the winner!

Trouble with this is that you forget the Bad ones. I assume the early season desert races are taken as read and so excluded?
The XCO world Champs were both pretty dull, won in spectacular fashion but dull as a result
I remember RVV got a lot of hate on here, but I don't think it was that bad really...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

The Giro for me.
Whaaaat?
Why?0 -
M-SR was a disappointment, but only really because the previous 8 or so editions have been mega, so that's not fair.
Flanders was a bit of a disappointment too, but still better than most races.
Flèche probably.0 -
I know little flower won but wasn't Amstel pretty dull?0
-
Fleche or Liege. Both are now nothing more than a war of attrition, with no-one prepared to gamble on attacking any more.0

The Giro for me.

Didn't enjoy the racing, other than maybe stage 20 the GC was over for a long time. Astana acting on stage 19 like they wanted their old teammate to win.0 -
Anything with a sprint finish.
Sorry, but I know sprinting is really hard and the people that do it are awesome athletes.
But, as a spectacle you generally miss nothing if you dont watch 99% of the coverage. Apart from Mr Kirby's repartee of course.0 -
The Vuelta was truly awful. It's gonna take something ridiculous to beat that farce.0
-
The Ardennes classics, LBL the worst of the three. At least Amstel was exciting for 5 minutes on the Cauberg; expectations for Fleche are low anyway; LBL was just dull, uneventful and predictable0
-
Fleche for me too, over rated race that needs a parcours overhaul.
I enjoyed MSR, when Thomas and Oss attacked you felt there was a possibility for them. Paolini drilling Kristoff up the Poggio was impressive.0 -

Yep, so dull I totally forgot about them...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

The Giro for me.
Then there's the fact that Contador had the GC so under control he didn't even have to do anything out of the ordinary against Landa and Aru. Even the Scheldeprijs is more entertaining.Supporter of Sky, transparency and clean cycling. Opponent of pseudoscience.

Fleche Wallone. the race as per usual is all about the last 3.5km...0

Tough crowd. Other than the moto v rider incidents, it was a great race this year. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

It's strange with LBL though because 2013 was, I thought, a great race. Perhaps the difference was the horrid steep thing out between La Redoute and St. Nicolas made an attack worth gambling on a bit more?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

And the farce of a TTT, and almost killing Boeckmans"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Fair points. Still a good race though. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
You kinda expect that from the Vuelta don't you?
Spanish racing generally is badly organised and puts riders at ill considered risk.0 -

Hmmm...
Neutralised first stage
Numerous mOto incidents
Astana antics
Aru winning
I can't see anything to redeem it0 -
A real tussle of a GC battle in the classic form of climber vs TTer that went down in dramatic fashion to the final day?0

Giro for me as well - as soon as Porte got that penalty I lost all interest in it really. I was really looking forward to seeing how he got on as leader and it went pearshaped on a technicality nobody knew much about. Obviously not the worst race of 2015 but the most disappointing.
Same for the vuelta to be honest, I still think Froome may have won that which was a big part of what I was looking forward to - can he do the double?0 -
-
It was a shame about Porte in the Giro but it was still a really good race (at least I thought so). Had Contador injury-related antics ("ow me shoulder!"), then his puncture and ensuing drama. I enjoyed it.
And for the Vuelta it was a shame that Froome broke his foot but that's the kind of unpredictability you get in bike racing and Dumoulin made the race interesting (I didn't bother watching the last few stages after it was sewn up though).0 -

Bert's hypochondria used to get on my nerves - makes me giggle now0 -
Blimey, some odd picks here. The Giro and Vuelta? Really?
Maybe it's that 3 week thing.
The World Tour has a hands down annual winner of this award: The Vattenfall Cyclassics. Dull enough to put any insomniac into a coma."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
How about the Tour of Abu Dhabi? Dull, unending flat in the desert, 'raced' at a soporific pace due to taking place inside a microwave oven and one 'mountain' stage with no attacks.
Coming next from the UCI, The Tour Of GreenlandFat chopper. Some racing. Some testing. Some crashing.
