Long training today in #Mallorca ahead! DS Kurt Arvesen explained the route before riders left. #InsideTeamSky

It's stuff like this that is the difference. Here they are in early December sitting down for a powerpoint presentation on today's training ride. On the one hand it seems completely over the top and ridiculous on the other hand this is how this team gets results.

Compare this approach with the likes of Europcar who weren't even using power for training.....
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

    ^ That

For some reason it's become a sign of Sky fanboism to say that other riders didnt (and it is moslty a case of "didnt" now - riders are nt as stupid as twitterers) train as well when the reality is that there are reams of examples of them proudly stating that they "don't hold with all this new fangled nonsense"

I actually have little doubt that Sky put their riders through the mill right from the start of coming back from the off-season. The anecdotes from riders (some still with the team, some having left) at their shock at the training load and intensity there after moving to the team from other teams, underlines that.

Unless of course you have the mindset that all pros are congenital liars, whereby you dismiss this as yet another lie to pull the wool over 'our' eyes

Wow, that's pretty cool. Even the cyclingnews haters can recognise excellence.

This years fit took nearly 5 hours but the results speak for themselves, apart from being more aero we gained 32watts

    The Hungarian Bike Fit
  • Once Eddie combines his power with the ability not to lose his freaking head and go off on a 100k breakaway from the gun, he'll be downright dangerous
