Anyone using a Tacx Vortex Smart

Not having a man cave, I was wondering if the Tacx Vortex Smart can be folded away after use (without necessarily taking it apart).
Also is it particularly noisy in comparison to other trainers at a similar price point.
Thanks in advance.

Used mine for the first time tonight, connected to Trainerroad no problem and worked perfectly in ERG mode.
The legs fold up and it's quite quiet. The build quality seems to be very good as well.0 -

Using a PC or a Mac? I know that the Tacx software is PC only, but can I use third party software running on a Mac?
Thanks.0 -

For Trainerroad it doesn't matter as they work on both and you don't use the Tacx software.0 -

I haven't installed any Tacx software, just the Trainerroad programme, worked perfectly with the Garmin Vectors, HRT strap and speed sensor.
My laptop isn't up to running the Tacx or Zwift software unfortunately.0 -

So, my Vortex Smart lasted three weeks then wouldn't switch on. Sent it back and got a Kickr Snap which is plagued with all sorts of issues, which was also sent back as I just couldn't get it to work properly, beautifully built though and a class apart from the Vortex Smart.
Now got a Kickr, slightly noisier but matching power quite nicely.0
