Would a reasonable person trust Trump as far as they can throw him based on the never ending stream of lies he comes out with? No, of course not.

Agree with that but unless there's some strong competition come election time, I suspect that there might well be enough US citizens willing enough to vote him in for another term despite and his past lies and bad behaviour that they all know about and also the stuff that he will inevitably get up to in the future. If I remember correctly, back in the last century, there was a mafia gang boss in New York named John Gotti who became known as the Teflon Don because Law enforcement could never get any charges to stick to him. They got him in the end but it took an awful lot of time and effort as well as a very well connected informer. Maybe the Trump should now become known as the Teflon President.

They've come up with a way of getting some way towards balancing the budget. They are cutting funding for the Special Olympics.

36% think Trump has not tried to interfere with the Russia investigation. Jeez.

Be interesting to see the numbers for a poll taken after the report was delivered and Barr's (very selective) summary was released. Surely Republicans should want everyone to see this report that proves how honourable Trump is.

Trump says that the noise from wind farms causes cancer. The world says "Uncle Crazy's said something insane again" and moves on. It's a strange world we're living in.

Trump said his father was born in Germany ... he wasn't- he was born in NY ... surely it's not that tricky to remember?

Apparently he's been picked up on this before. I do wonder why he comes out with this stuff - is it just for the craic, to wind up opponents - is he just so arrogant that he thinks he can say what he likes and doesn't care about whether it's proven wrong - or is there some deeper motive ?

He's creating such a blizzard of criticism that perhaps the important stuff gets lost in amongst the ridiculous but relatively unimportant stuff like him lying about where his father was born.

It's interesting that he is defying normal political social norms and just getting away with it - that's probably how a lot of successful people do operate - they just disregard some of the rules that the rest of us abide by.

Last night whilst making a 'televised' speech about the 'rigged mid-terms' he said "someone will leak this speech to the media"
All lies and jest..still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....

I do wonder sometimes - lots of people make up stories or exaggerate elements of their past - but to falsify your fathers place of birth rather than just use your ancestry - especially when it's well known and you've been picked up on it before - it just either arrogant or stupid or both I guess.
What I can't see is how he's trusted at all - if he's willing to lie about something as trivial as his fathers place of birth, then where does he draw the line?

Whether or not you agreed with Obama - at least he seemed to be acting with integrity and deference to the position he held. Trumps acting like a fat boy let loose in a sweet shop.

He doesn't really seem to understand the concept of fact verification. This is a fun read......

More than one source described another time when Trump happened to walk into the Bedminster clubhouse just as a worker was putting up the name of the newly crowned senior club championship winner on a wooden plaque. Trump had been out of town and hadn’t played in the tournament, but when he saw the player’s name, he stopped the employee. “Hey, I beat that guy all the time. Put my name up there instead.”

Given that Trump is either lying whenever he speaks, or suffering mental degradation to the extent he has no real idea what words mean, I see little point in analysing any of his utterances. It would, literally, be more interesting analysing what comes out of his arse, as at least it would tell us something about his diet and state of health.

Some on Mueller’s Team Say Report Was More Damaging Than Barr Revealed

    Well, waddaya know?
Mr. Barr has said he will move quickly to release the nearly 400-page report but needs time to scrub out confidential information.

    'Confidential'? as in 'Incriminating'?

You might well be right but I would suggest that we don't need golf or 'bicycle shorts' to tell us that Trump is a khunt.

Not many people know this but he did in fact win the Tour once:

True, I don't think many were thinking "Hmmm, he seemed like a trustworthy, truthful guy, but now I know he cheats at golf, I'm not so sure."

He's wrong of course e.g. The Avro Manchester 2 engine bomber. Unreliable under powered death trap. Back to the drawing board fit 4 merlin engines, rename it Avro Lancaster, and the rest is history.

What, you are saying that Avro took the Manchester, fixed the dangerous features, added some great additional features and rebranded it and that is Trump being wrong?!!

But of course he is wrong re the product suffering which I know is what you really meant but I have a sneaking suspicion that it will affect Boeing a lot less than people might think (not least because of the nature of the competition).

So horrible to watch the massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!
Yeh, thanks Donald. Paris breathes a sigh of relief that the Dump is onto it

What Paris needs is a low flying 747 dropping thousands litres of water in a line over a rather long distance. There is clearly no-one sitting near him when he is watching TV or he does not verbalise his thoughts before going to Twitter. It has got to the point that you could claim he said anything and I would believe you.

and he still couldn’t keep his mouth shut...
. French fire services tweeted in apparent reply that “dropping water by airplane on this type of building could result in the collapse of the entire structure.”

Trump said in Monday afternoon remarks that “they don’t know what caused it. They say renovation, and I hope that’s the reason. Renovation? What’s that all about?”

If they'd simply listened to the potus he would have taken the Boeing 737 max, fixed the software added a coupla extra engines converted it to a water tanker and put out the fire before Paris sapeurs even unrolled their hoses. And sorted brexit while he was there. But nobody does what trump wants..
