  • Well obvious but he's entertainment.

Seriously I thought Bush Jr was bad in light of the alleged avoidance of national service in the military. Something about his daddy getting him posted to a quiet national guard which he went awol from allegedly. As in not fit to be commander in chief. But Trump is worse. Bush Jr knew to listen to his ppl and at least was sane. Trump is disintegrating. Does this show that national leadership is harder than business leadership? I mean he has disintegrated more since being POTUS.

I am with you - he is the best President ever

I have faith in the Constitution and courts to stop him doing anything too destructive

Pence and Trump peas in a pod
And two sources said that when the conversation turned to gay rights, Mr Trump motioned toward Mr Pence and joked: “Don’t ask that guy - he wants to hang them all!”

Surely he knows he is not the best golfer. Kim Jong-Il was the best golfer. He apparently scored a 38 under par score of 34 on his first round.

But he could beat the Harlem Globe Trotters at basketball too!

I just watched a little BBC clip of Trump suggesting the other Presidents didn't call the families of US soldiers who have died - I assume those who die in active service... but anyway - he then has to backtrack because it's public knowledge that Obama did call families

The backtracking bit doesn't sound right. Next time he's asked, I'm sure he would quite happily tell the same lie, with the same confidence. It's what he does.

  • It's typical Trump, lump in Obama with the clear effect of an allegation that he did not make calls. Then resile from being able to deal because he doesn't know, but perpetuate fake news. Of course, a large proportion of US Presidents have not made calls, because only the ones from Vietnam onwards could have the tech available to them (and the receipient) and be able to make calls because of the low(er) numbers.

'Resile'. Hmm, a not oft used adjective sir. Your education is ubiquitous.

Bush (apparently) was good at delegating and he put money into schemes in Africa (I have first had knowledge of the funding in Kenya) to assist in family planning and STD's. He also declared a huge area of sea off the Californian coast as an SSSI to preserve it.
Obama, quickly pulled the funding to those African projects as soon as he came to office.

  • It's often the way. New president means good schemes of old president gets cancelled to pay for good schemes of new president. Pet projects and aims change funding follows.

Yeah you can see why he hadn't been calling the dead soldiers' families.

    http://edition.cnn.com/2017/10/17/polit ... index.html

So he calls up the recently widowed wife, who's pregnant with her 3rd child and has been told that it will be a closed casket funeral (so she's going through all sorts of thoughts about how he died and what happened to his face), and says "he knew what he signed up for, but I guess it still hurt"
  • Jeez! He's insensitive.

What do you reckon is wrong with him mentally? Serious question. Is he on the ASD spectrum? A socio/psychopath? No empathy I suspect. There's something about him for sure.

Makes you wonder, is it a medical condition or a condition brought about by entitlement (nature or nurture), how much the 'enablers' around him contribute? We can all go out with our mates and if they say something stupid, call 'em out not it, take the Pi$$ etc, because all of his life he's been getting his own way and still is (even more so!). For him to have made it to the No 1 position in the world doing what he does it must be impossible for himself to argue against anything he's ever done and said and the way he does it as it's got him to this point. :?

Republican on CNN this morning defending Trump (the real victim in all of this of course) for his slow and now inappropriate response to at least one of the families of the fallen and accusing the Democrats of playing partisan politics...except of course it wasn't a partisan issue until Trump made it one by making false accusations against Obama. Dumbasses.

THe Republicans and Trump haven't yet grasped that they're in charge and people will quite rightly challenge them on their actions and inactions, yet they still see themselves as the oppressed and hard done by.
  • I've also seen it asked why Obama would have called General John Kelly, when his son was a married man, and protocol would mean that his wife would receive a call if there was one. Trump has probably now made it so that poor woman has to endure people asking her irrelevant questions.

Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!

  • Sgt Johnson's mum, who was also in the limo, has confirmed Rep. Wilson's account of events.

Trump's on the losing side of this argument. He can't BS his way out with threats of having tapes. How long before he starts calling the Johnson family 'nasty people'?

Gotta hand it to tRump tho, he has just beaten ISIS single handedly...
I totally changed rules of engagement. I totally changed our military, I totally changed the attitudes of the military and they have done a fantastic job," Trump said on "The Chris Plante Show." "ISIS is now giving up, they are giving up, there are raising their hands, they are walking off. Nobody has ever seen that before."
When Plante asked why that hadn't happened before, Trump took the bait.
"Because you didn't have Trump as your president," he said. "It was a big difference, there was a big, big difference if you look at the military no
