Feeling weakened...race day less than a month away.

Hello, I'm new to this forum. Though I'm hoping to get some advice.
The week before, I was riding like no tomorrow. Centuries, group rides...clocked about total 300 KM that week. Then that's when downfall dawn on me. I caught a flu, Doctor said my immune system isn't strong enough and somebody had passed the virus to me. Long story short: Slapped in the face with Anti-Biotics (Urgh). Finished it because obviously, once I start taking it there's no going back.
I stopped my training and only resumed shortly after I finished taking the pills. Back on the road, I wasn't feeling too good. I feel powerful, but my legs just won't move and my endurance has shattered. I was feeling a little cold too (Which was strange) and sweating more than usual. After the ride, I went for a holiday (Long story: Not be cause I want to) for a few days and came back.
I was planning to do another century today, I ain't sick no more but still...I just don't feel like my stamina is there still. And I actually signed up for a race, which is less than a month away. At this condition, I won't be ready for jack.
I don't know what to do now...my body isn't motivated. Any advice?

Mind over matter? Over thinking it?
Sounds like you have had a good period of rest since your illness, maybe start off doing some smaller distances to build your stamina, endurance and your motivation because if you jump straight back into a 100 mile ride and you start to flag this will kill you mentally and demotivate you further.0 -
If the race is a month away, you will be fine.
It always takes a couple of weeks to start firing on al cylinders again after a break. As said above, start smaller and build up to your race. Don't panic! If you get spat out the back of the race (I'm sure you won't), so be it.
It is November after all, everybody is thinking about the Spring anyway!BikeRadar Communities Manager0 -
Not sure why you would take a course of antibiotics for a virus?0

You will recover. I had a similar problem in July took a month to get over it fully you may of course get over it sooner. While you are feeling a bit crap dont push to hard. Turn the pedals and dont worry about training.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0
