Does anyone suffer with heart block?

After months of palpitations and chest pains which were brushed off as anxiety, they've now diagnosed me with second degree heart block. The last few times I've ridden or run, I've noticed a bit of chest discomfort and more recently I've suffered chest pains and dizziness after exercise and noticed my average HR is about 15bpm average above normal. I've always had a lowish HR with a RHR in the low 40s. Most of my mates can easily get in the 180s on a climb that would see me struggle to get out of the 140s and I believe, like a lot of cyclists, my heart is slightly larger than average.
I've got a cardiologist appointment next week and need further investigations, but just wondering if anyone else suffers from this and how, if at all, it's impacted on their physical activity?
