The grey one for me

my thinking is I'll need better wheels. And tyres. And that the green one has better (not great) wheels and better (not great) tyres. Enough for winter anyway. And a carbon seatpost. And a better chainset.
And it's green.

It's a no brainer seemingly. Keep looking at Scotts, Lapierres, etc. But keep coming back to Dale.

Half tempted to see if Evans in store will price match, Pauls not on the list, but worth a shout.

Blue was the colour of Cannondale's factory team bikes on the mtb side for years and before that they were red. As were the Saeco Cannondales in the Cippolini era... Green is a relatively new thing for Cannondale and so your comparison with the traditional motorbike colours is unfounded.
Don't buy a Cannondale anyway. Its BB will creak because they all do and you will wish you bought something else. Good mate of mine recently returned his supersix for a full refund after a year of creaky bb issues which Cannondale couldn't solve. Nice looking bikes, but flawed.
Green is the only allowable colour for a new Cannondale (as opposed to an historic relic). Don't listen to him
Then what happened? A few miles later it creaked again? Everyone knows bb30 is sh!te, especially for some unknown reason when that bb30 is at the bottom of a 'dale. Not so much a consumer strop as Cannondale admitting that particular frame was outside of manufacturing tolerances and thus unfixable.
Cannondale green isn't even a very nice shade of green, and I like green....

Cannondale Synapse Adventure 15 & 16 Di2

I really like that!
As for BB30, its quite possibly the worst invention ever, I had nothing but problems with the one on my System Six. So before this one starts to creak (and it will) I would sell the Chain-set, but a Praxis Works BB30 adaptor and chuck an Ultegra 6800 Chain-set on it - no more creaking!
That really is a nice looking bike!

Agreed, some people are delusional when it comes to the value of their bikes and seem to think that the value is related to what they paid rather than current market value.
I paid £1250 for this (although I added the RS81s and the saddle) when it retailed at £2300 but I wouldn't expect £1700 for it, not that I'd sell it.
Turned down the green 'un for this as well as I prefer Sram and I got an integrated rear brake on my frame (yeah bit like a cup holder but hey ho)
Nice looking bikes though. And you are right about ebay buyers and sellers

I just sold a ford transit roof rack for 99p
They guy who is collecting said it's far too cheap and will give me some cash when he picks it up, not all people are crooks.
If anyone comes across a 52 or 54cm 2014 Red Racing frame in blue, let me know!
Yeah, that does look nice in green!
BUY IT!!
