Mmmm, cheese.
A friend's daughter is at University over here having lived her whole life in France. I asked her if she missed anything being over here. Her initial answer was no, then she corrected herself and said she missed the cheese.
Not much going on here either. Slow wobble in as it's a bit blowy and I'm feeling a bit rough.
Here are some crackers to go with the cheese:
Brisk sweaty ride into work this morning, misjudged the forecast and over dressed. Struggled in the wind on the way home last night. Been cracking on with work this morning so taking a well earned break before lunch
Here is some pickle to go with the cheese and crackers, Mmmmm
Raiding my parents drinks cupboard as a 13 year old, I once got horribly smashed on a cocktail of whiskey and port. I haven't been able to touch port since
Practice mate, you may be able to stomach the stuff again and visit stevo for one of his dinners.
Oi! You can't just turn up at a cheese and wine party and not bring anything.
'Specially not one of mine Actually, 'one of my dinners?' - did somebody rohypnol me as I don't remember throwing one of these events
Not much to report here as it's work work work as I work on one of life's certs. And no pedalling today. Although I am looking at ski holidays - can anyone recommend me a resort with guaranteed snow, good night life and a high 'clunge to sausage' ratio? :P

I guess with the weather it is a case of any port in a storm!
OK day here, had an interview at work, for an internal role so was interviewed by my current boss which was a bit odd but if it means more money than that's good! time will tell.
Anyway, back to pretending to be busy so i seem like I should get promoted!
I'll add some Crepe to this party. When are we going to Stevo's?
Laters.
I don't want any dog hairs in my crepes thank you very much. Flaneur's place is too sterile, I don't want him lurking behind me with a dustpan and brush all evening or shouting at me for not using the drink coasters. It's between V68 Kingston digs, HD's Lake Como Pad and T47b's retirement home.

You conveniently avoided your burrow/pad in that list I see. :?:

Careful what you say...People have died for less

No image of the waitress can be found as I am at work
Always going to struggle with the ratio issue (but find the resorts the scandies visit), but in order of fun
St Anton
VT - possibly too young for you ;0
Val D
Verbier (with the cost)
Told Saas Fee is worth a punt too
Or do you want to include the states?
Done all of them multiple times except for Verbise once and Saas Fee not quite yet 8) Was wondering if I has misses a trick but this probably just shows you have good taste in ski resorts Europe only dur to restrictions of skiing buddies. Want ri make it a good one as I have a 'landmark' birthday coming up
Heard that Are in Sweden I the sort of place that makes you think you have died and gone to heaven?

Scandi resorts are cool, good apres, limited skiing if you want the extreme off piste though. Beer price is ok due to blonde hair and boobs.
With so many linked resorts these days it becomes pick an area. I was never a fan of Les Arcs. Courch is great for a mixed group except the russians, but is limited on the fun time apres.
La Grave for pure skiing, Cham can be fun but getting to and from areas is a PITA
The places connected to St Anton aren't as fun but do give the skiing. Italy has a few options but again lack of blondes for you!

I'm just going to turn up here and sponge off the tax payer as per normal. Port. in my past times hangin' with the RE many a bottle was consumed so have a taste for it but it does leave that furry tongue feeling......
Today has actually been really good - chilled out. Tomorrow's gonna turn hectic but nothing a quick beer at the end of the day won't sort.
Re skiing - why not somewhere like the Abruzzo - cheaper, untouched by the hordes, stunning, full of Italian chicks. Worth a punt ............. Great riding as well in the summer (if it's good enough for the Giro....).
Ciao.

Hidden in a daily thread because I can't be bothered with 6 pages of rubbish.......... What is the best winter jacket - is it a rapha Hardshell?
Castelli Alpha Jacket. Fookin expensive and I meant to get one in the summer when it was down to £167 at Wiggle. Read every review and they are A1, hardly a bad comment. The worst criticism was that it was a little tight off the bike but just right on it and it is much better to go and try one for size before you buy. You're not far from Wolverhampton are you?
