Confused by virtual software and hardware?

I've been looking at trainer road which looks pretty cool but I'm confused about what I need to make it work.
My turbo trainer is an Elite SuperCrono Power Mag ElastoGel Trainer and right now I'm just using it with Sufferfest videos and have no other cycle hardware except for a Garmin Edge Touring and Strava.
What exactly do I need to get Trainer Road working with the stats and info as I'm confused about Ant +/Bluetooth/Virtual power/candence sensors etc etc.
Ideally I just want to use my Android tablet or Android phone rather than dragging laptops into the shed and just want something simple to set up.

Only iphone app at mo so no android support. Lug your laptop down the shed with a Garmin GSC10 and an ANT+ stick from Amazon for a tenner and your away (and maybe HR monitor)0 -
Would this work with trainerroad and zwift: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmin-Bike-Speed-Cadence-Sensor/dp/B00JM6DKUA/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8 as amazon say the GSC10 has been updated to this model now.
Thanks.0 -

Yes; anything which transmits ANT+ speed data will work fine.
GSC10 has indeed been discontinued for how long now? 2 years? Yet people still recommend them!0 -
.....because they can be picked up for a 3rd of that price on places like here. However, money no issue/ need it yesterday/ prefer new style = pay £450

Android is on the way You can check it out and sign up to stay in the loop on updates and beta testing when that becomes available here: TrainerRoad for Android
Regarding getting started with your laptop, check out this helpful page on minimum equipment to get started. It also includes links to everything you'll need, so you don't have to worry as to whether or not the device will be compatible: Equipment Checker0 -
Cheers all and got the bits needed now.
Got Trainer Road set up on the laptop and did the 8 minute test to get my FTP and was actually good fun0
