Why do people queue for miles rather than filter

  • Ok sure you've got the British queueing mentality to consider, but what about when there is no queue? Why do people drive a long at a normal pace until theres a merge point in sight, at which point they've got to race the car next to them?

Perhaps they are closet cyclists and feel the need to race against someone who doesn't realise he is in a race.
  • Again a typical car drivers viewpoint ;). Why do you need to 'race' at the merge point, the idea is to merge, that can be in front or behind the car alongside.

Everyone wants to merge in front as they are more important.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.
