Did it last Wednesday and now waiting for someone in our wonderful nhs to phone me with an appointment.
Aiming to be back on the bike 2nd week in October, am I hoping too much?

    If its a broken collar bone then I think its ambitious that it will be up to riding outside inside 6 weeks. Turbo only if it was me or you risk further damage and longer recovery.

    Hmmm, yeah, it's not the collarbone but the acromium(?) which is tendon rather than bone. But you'Re probably right, and of course I know that it's a medical opinion that i need, just want to set my own expectations.
  • The acromion itself is bone or at least a part of a bone you've damaged your acromioclavicular ligament which fixes the collarbone to it.

    Ahhh, thank you, that makes a lot of sense.
  • Google ac joint injury and you'll get plenty of information but it will depend on how damaged it is, I'm not qualified to comment on that from your pic but bad cases can need reattaching surgically.
