Its odd. Unless it was all talk by Prior for max publicity around ToB. It could be a paperwork thing, but if so I'd have expected confirmation by now along those lines via say the Comic (who will definitely have been trying to get a comment out of them for the last 24 hours)
As for Team Colombia, IMO the UCI Licensing Commission should reject their application until their management is replaced and the team run along lines that ensure the riders actually get their monthly paycheck. Whats been going on for 2 years now (and the Colombian cycling fed have to share responsibility for this) is a disgrace

Ouch, not a good start. Hope they get it sorted.0

From the FT:Aberdeen Asset Management has begun to sound out potential buyers for the group as Europe’s second-largest fund house struggles to put an end to a slump in its profitability, share price and assets under management. People familiar with the process said Martin Gilbert, Aberdeen’s 60-year-old founder and chief executive, had made informal approaches to a number of rivals in recent months.
Wonder if this has affected NFTO and might explain why they haven't pushed to go proconti for 2016.
For reference this was the story in April.0 -

Replacing the experienced Dave Povall with the brand-new-to-DSing Tom Barras has gone down like a lead balloon
I've just read John Wood's quotes on Velouk
That all bodes well (not)0 -

There's only so far 'wealth' can take you without real commercial sponsorship.
I get John's comments ref being a DS in the UK not being quite the same and I completely agree, but there's definitely an element to it, for sure.Follow me on Twitter - http://twitter.com/scalesjason - All posts are strictly my personal view.0 -

Ah. Not at all likely, if my info is correct. When former UK Youth riders went to ONE, they were told not to talk to Pov (by now with NFTO). And they didn't.
I know, its all playground stuff.
But its all part of why ONE didnt make a lot of friends this year.0 -

Yup. OPC now has 3 DS' as required by UCI for Pro Conti, so no need for Pov.
Happy for Westy, really happy, been a pleasure to work with him.Follow me on Twitter - http://twitter.com/scalesjason - All posts are strictly my personal view.0 -

Yes as far as the regs go, but given their ambition, it may have been beneficial to find at least one DS with experience of the "proper" pro road scene rather than the British track or Conti road scene.0 -
What's Povall done then?0

What's Povall done then?
I think the guy phrase lyn1 used was 'to find', rather than suggesting that Pov was that DS0 -

Exactly RR. Thanks for the clarification. That's why I did not include Pov in the highlight Jimmy.0 -

One get their ProConti license...0

Hadn't realised until today that Becky Frewing had gone to One PRO. Was she poached? If so that might also explain a bit of animosity between them and NFTO I guess?0

Mind, John Wood didnt play right by Pov, by all accounts.
Handshake in Jul on new contract for 2016, then Wood threw a hissy fit over NFTO riders joining forces with ONE riders during ToB against Madison Genesis, resulting in no role for Pov next year after all.
