Are you teling me that Lars Bak's Giro 2012 stage in mid May basically doesn't count, as it was in the off season?
No, silly. That particular year, the season* STARTED March 2012 and ENDED late April 2013

P-R for me. I'm hoping for the first Welsh winner of a Monument.
Unless Luke Rowe pulls it out the bag, you'll be waiting longer: http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/latest-news/geraint-thomas-to-focus-on-stage-racing-not-classics-in-2016-192175?utm_source=Twitter&utm_medium=Social0 -

This should be a good opportunity for Rowe, it would be interesting to see how he would get on if given a leadership role in a classic.0 -
Like many others, P-R for me, perhaps we'll get a wet one next year, that would be very interesting.
Strade Bianchi next for me, I love this race with its gravel roads and beautiful countryside.0 -

I'll believe that when I see it but I actually think Rowe is the more likely of the two to win it.0 -

I tend to only get excited about the big races once I've watched the warm up races.
(hence why the warm up races are so important...!)0 -

I agree to an extent, but there is nothing on this earth can get me up for Tour Down Under or either of the two pointless desert tours."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I like Qatar, as it's the chance to see which of the Classics guys are in form (as well as testing Rich's Boonen/Qatar hypothesis for another year)0

No, but that's not a warm up race.
That's training for the warm up races with world tour points...!0 -
The Olympics next year is a good shout; very excited about the setting, the hard parcours, and hopefully the quality field.
De Omloop, when it all really starts.0 -
Yep, Omloop because as most people have said it's the start of the proper season. The pinnacle of the racing calendar for Ian Stannard.
Then the E3/Flanders/Roubaix trio which is the actual pinnacle of the season. If Boonen wins Flanders or Roubaix will he retire this year?
Always get excited about the Giro because of the route and because it's the first true battle of GT riders.
The World Road Race is right up there as one of my favourite single day races of the year, so it will be interesting to see what kind of route they come up with next year.0 -
the Belgian+ dutch Classic Races in spring. Selected stages of the tour, the giro and the vuelta, Lombardia, and many others.
also the tour of Britain. its got better and better for me, just need a surrey stage next year.0 -

Theres 3 of the darn things now - Dubai, Qatar and Oman (although they stick some hills in Oman).
And soon to de Abu Dhabi as well I think (but later in the season).0 -
Our club 2-up.
And Ghent - Wevelgem.0 -
Forgot Strada Bianchi. great race.0

You'll all have to anticipate the Eneco Tour a bit longer... moved to September to work around the 'Limpiks"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Good call. A very enjoyable early season race with a nice finishing kick.0
