Frank rolling back the years. Really like that final climb, it seemed very British in the way it would kick up steep then flatten off - reminded me of Gospel Pass! How good is Aru in a TT? Dumoulin should easily take more than two minutes out of J Rod but not sure about Aru.0

I can't say I've particularly noticed his climbing style so I googled it, and some bounder has put a 90 second clip on youtube to the soundtrack "That's What Makes You Beautiful"0 -

Advantage Rodriguez for me, Tom D as the next best chance, can't see beyond those two for the eventual winner. If pushed I reckon Rodriguez will extend his lead over Aru in the TT and keep his losses to Dumoulin within a minute but what a close fought race it is.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0

Horrible climbs and the biggest achievement came from the two tall riders who supposedly can't climb, Frankie (1.86m, 79kgs) and Dumoulin (1.86m, 71kgs). Compare that with Aru at 1.81m and 61kgs and JRod 1.69m and 57kgs. Shame on the little people. But what a beast of a stage.

a man that knows his limits and performs within them. he should by all rights be way off the back, on the climbs but his pacing strategy is absolutely fantastic to watch, and all without support, though after the TT, surely Giant will change that so he has a bit of protection.
I'd still like J Rod to win overall, not a fan of Aru at all.0 -
Interesting Dumoulin reckons he should have tried to stay with the leaders for longer on stage 15, says on 16 he just dug in took the risk of blowing completely and didn't lose as much time as a result.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0
