Help wanted with Elite Qubo Ditial Wireless turbo trainer

Hi all,
I'm posting seeking assistance with the setup of the handheld computer for the above turbo trainer I've just bought.
I've set the mag resitance motor to the frame and got as far as pairing the wireless handheld device to the trainer. I have no problem being able to cycle through all the modes of the handheld but my problem is when using the bike on the trainer, nothing registers on the handheld unit. No speed or time spent riding. The unit is clearly live, it just doesn't display any data when in use.
The only thing I haven't done is to physically attach the handheld unit to the bikes handlebars, I decided not to as more than one bike will be used on the trainer.
Anyone have any idea where I'm going wrong please?

You don't need to attach it to the bars when in use, so it's not that. I've got the same turbo and it's always worked perfectly, but I've had it a couple of years now and I can't remember exactly how I set it up other than just following the instructions in the manual. Have you tried actually starting a program or putting it into one of the other modes - 'level' or 'power'?0
