I don't know if it's because of or despite the parcours but it's been a great race so far.
Is this seriously genuine?
What would be more of a surprise is you saying you actually enjoyed a race/stage apart from the odd exception.Contador is the Greatest0 -
On probably every Vuelta spoiler thread there is a comment about someone saying how rubbish this race is. Well it is the Vuelta so you shouldn't be surprised. If the race is not a multi mountain stage there is absolutely no point watching the race before the final kicker which is often very exciting. There are some exceptions (like when the Boss is racing) but generally that is how it goes. Make the most of your day, tune in for the last half hour to get your pro cycling kick, discuss it on the forum, then move onto something else! Bueno.Dumoulin in the interview saying he's lost a bit of weight the last few weeks and apparently his power has stayed the same.
Guess who hacked Sky's databases and got the secret recipe for the above?!I was writing Froome off with 4k to go. Gutsy.
People should know better. Froome does it all the time at the Vuelta. If you watch some of the stages from last year's Vuelta it is even more evident - the others accelerate then coast, he diesels along, catches the group who are now riding a much reduced pace, then doesn't catch his breath but keeps on going, making it look impressive, then he gives it the nitrus treatment (nothing like in the Tour mind). It is not pretty and not fun for the fans but adds another dynamic and you have to admire him being headstrong and totally confident in his own abilities.
Bruce Springsteen has a Pro licence?????????? I thought he would be too busy touring his music. Well, you live and learn.0 -

Dumoilin finding his climbers legs.
Froome could be possibly only the 3rd (?) rider to do the double.
Quintana / Valverde leadership intrigue.
SKY sending guys up the road and Roche in 3rd after 9 stages.
Etc etc
Looks pretty good to me.0 -

Read the comments in the first 8 stage threads and embrace the general enthusiasm about this race so far.. (it won't take long.. there aren't many posts in threads as it is...)0 -

Just for a laugh, here is a post you made in 2013 edition of the Vuelta:

Here is a good example from stage 14:

About 10 mins in you can see the GC guys kick it off and Froome is left for dust (bear in mind distance is taken from the leader who is a good 3 mins clear). Then watch and watch and watch until what seems like forever later you see Froome emerge, go right to the front, keep the pace high then...drop all of them:

Oh, man. I was funny even back in 2013!0 -
I like seeing Froome taking a different approach to the climbs, he isn't blisteringly quick so he's figured out what works for him. Good to see a rider figure out something different and stick to it.0

Best thing so far has been OGE's backstage pass which has been brilliant - almost worth watching the stage highlights just so you have the context for the backstage pass0 -
