Hi,
I need some advice. I can currently cycle about 120k over some pretty challenging hills at an average of 25kph. A friend of mine wants me to do a 160k sportive over fairly hilly terrain in early September. My problem is that I'm away for the next three weeks and won't have any access to a bike. Will my fitness hold up with only one weekend to train between now an the 12th of September. I want to be able to do this without it being torture. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

You'll be fine. Keep the pace down, especially over the first third of the distance.0

Yeah, it'll be fine.
If you're already riding 120km fairly comfortably then an extra forty will be however hard you (or your friend!) want to make it, even with a layoff.0 -
Are you able to run or swim whilst you are away?0
