It's just ok which for the outlay doesn't work for me. I commuted into Mcr recently with someone on a Cervelo S5, not a bike I've really noticed. But it seemed to just float along (I was on fixed) and you could see the aero features and just high level stuff about it. If I go to Cyclefit in Mcr, I can see an S5 or the new Madone, some gorgeous Passoni or Sevens and if you look at those then go and look at the F8 in the Pinarello shop I think you'd be dubious about buying the Dogma. It has the pedigree but if you want aero it isn't. If you want custom it isn't, if you want ultra mod, then compared to the Madone it isn't. However, if someone gave me a free one then I'd part-ex it and go for one of the others mentioned above (not the Madone - too much for me in terms of shapes).

    You'd get the Passoni.

I actually like the F8, would agree though that previous versions have been over-hyped & priced but then so are a lot of of bikes

For me, they are a probably very good bike frame but they get tarnished regularly with "the early adopters who buy an expensive bike and don't ride very well!" statement.

I remember this from spring 2013, climbing up box hill a few of us notice a rather chunky looking bradley wiggins a like trundling up box hill in his yellow jersey and yellow dogma with all the bells and whistles. I'm no climber but i lterally flew past him and i couldn't resist a smirk. he was wobbling a bit and had a rather red face! :D

their world tour record in recent years relates less to the fact they are a great bike but more to the fact that the teams they use are packed full of some of the best riders in Pro cycling. you put these riders on any world tour bikes you'll get a similar result i'd expect. think the only other thing thats unique about them is they use the latest versions of the toray carbon fibre (usually they get exclusivity for a year) in the manufacture of their product. What that means in real world terms is uncertain!

Well I've just put my name on a rented one for a day in Italy.

At one time or another I have owned a: Cervelo Kuota, Look, Giant and Ridley. I now have two Dogma's and have just ordered the F8. That's purely down to my thinking that they are the best bikes I've ridden.

No thanks...rather ride a flaming log in to the fires of hell.

cycling weeklys review of that is up soon. the'y mention the wheels are too heavy and the forks flex a bit. ither than that a solid ( if warm) ride...
  • One second googling https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinarello#Contemporary_road_models is that good enough?

As above +1 ...and also you called it 'this monster', it certainly looks ugly as sin and most people riding them outside of the professionals who are paid to do so fall into a category beginning with d.

The F8 is a massive improvement in the looks dept.

Not sure what OP was on about, but the Dogma in your link looks like a bike to me.

Makes one wonder - just good Froome actually is, if he wins despite being handicapped with such a shoddy bike.

Dogma is fine, just like any other bicycle. Some of the guys, buying and using them might be unfit or lack knowledge, but they could be doing much worse, like watching TV to no end or blowing money on Premiership season tickets.
