Cycling kit that looks...rubbish

When I see grown men in baggy mountain bike gear it reminds me of Harry Enfields kevin and Perry sketches.
Also never really been tempted to wear any pro team kit. I may be way off with this, so sorry if it causes offence, but I can't help thinking the people who wear it have delusions about being part of the team.
I've had quite a lot of it. I had an Orica jersey because I thought it was a nice colour. It was £20.
I have only one at the moment. Wiggle Honda. It was £40. There are some fairly important reasons why my delusion wouldn't stretch to being a member of that team. I quite like supporting them mind.
The only reason I've ever bought team kit is because it was cheap.0 -
It's a bit like snowboarders. You can probably do it in the same gear as regular skiing, but they feel as the new kid that they need to be 'different'.
It's just a hill. Get over it.0 -

Back to cycling, road kit is pretty practical; it's hard to see what all that bagginess might add in the name of practicality.Pannier, 120rpm.0 -
Where do we stand on Team Sky's Italy and France limited editions?
Cos, I really like the design. If I could find one in the £40 mark I'd have one.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I really liked the Rapha country collection - but I think they have stopped. Not so keen on team sky versions which I think might have replaced them
Just searched and it looks like they have stopped - but there is a few left (if you are small)

Yeah fair enough really, probably more of a reflexion on me rather than other people... My opinion might be different if I found a team kit I liked the look of.Cannondale caad7 ultegra

Shame really. Proper bargain0 -
Not quite one for here, but today at the lights north of Chelsea Bridge there were two guys (chatting, so clearly together) on identical Boardman Road Sport bikes, wearing identical helmets with peaks attached.0

Well, that's quite an opinion...
I liked the santini jersey, in my opinion it looks great!
Fat ,skinny, in between and under and above boys and girls just wear what you like: it may not the nicest bit of kit but wear it with pride (whatever Mum said)
I personally don't like the new Rapha Data print, there is maybe be one that looks ok but most of them are just plain ugly. What I do like is the Morvello Attack series and I'll try to get a hand on one hopefully soon!
Camouflage cycling kit... Each to their own, I suppose.0
