They are getting spliced in October and the invites have already gone out. :P (true that last bit)
Did you get one?
He's hanging in there incredibly well. Top 10 would have been an incredible result. Top 5??0 -

Not me personally, but someone who is very well known to me and her big other half.
Came it a lovely box, it did."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Great to see G up there.....I've always been a big fan of his, never ever thought he break top 15 in the tour though, let alone possible top 5!!!
My thoughts though.....last few years, G has always said in interviews that the last few stages were a step too far for him.....some really tough riding to come, will we see him lose an absolute packet on Alpe d'Huez? I hope not, but can't see him holding of Bertie for 6 seconds or whatever it is currently.0 -
I think the big problem for Geraint over the next three days is going to be the level of attacking we are going to see from Froome's rivals. It stepped up a gear today and Sky weren't able to keep things steady and have G sitting ahead of Froome and steadily wearing everyone down. I think it likely that we are going to get more of the same and G just can't live with those accelerations.
Contador is committed to hit or bust so where he finishes in relation to G depends on which of those two he manages over the next 3 stages.0 -

I've always presumed it was an overly literal registrar:
"What's your name?"
"Uran. U-R-A-N."
"Well, Mr Uran Uran, congratulations on a fine young boy..."0 -
So, Valverde cracked a little today on the Glandon. Huge day tomorrow, will he crack properly and can G stay right in there, whilst holding Contador as well? Huge ask but I'd love to see him on the podium.0

Have GB got a better prospect for the World's in Richmond?“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

Have GB got a better prospect for the World's in Richmond?
Isn't the route in Richmond quite sprinter friendly? At least of the fatty-sprinter-that-can-still-get-over-hills variety?
ie Cav?Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

I'm sure he as, but assuming that the parcours suits sprinters (and I'm not sure that it does - happy to be corfrected on that) then he isn't going to have a better sprint than Cav.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

"Cobbled and technical" is the phrase the organisers have used everywhere. 103m elevation change on a 16.2km circuit. Steepest hill looks like about 40m in 500m; not bad at all - but I reckon on the 15th time of asking that will start to look a bit nasty. If it is rainy or windy you have to think the classics guys have got the advantage0 -

Cav is certainly talking the talk that GB will be riding for him0 -

Of course. Just a wee joke. I didn't expect he'd be 4th on GC. He's emerged as a hell of a wingman this season....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0 -

I am sure the powers that be would love to see lil Petey in the British Champions Jersey take the honours in the Worlds0 -
If lil' Pete wins the Worlds I think the Sky doping allegations will break the internet.0

not sure anyone other than Cav in GB colours is capable of winning the worlds. Would love to see Stannard or G to but they would need a lot of luck when you consider how other countries will ride. Problem for Cav is you have Germany and the ozzies who would want to make it hard to drop cav to set it up for bling and degankolb. Then you have Belgians, Italians, Spanish who would all want to avoid a sprint. Not sure GB well sky would be as keen to back Cav for the champs stripes to be worn at another team.
Think that is the main/only reason Cav went to sky0 -

Swift could if he gets himself in tip-top shape.0 -

did think about Swifty but for him to win he needs to drop the pure sprinters, plus probably sagan, bling matthews and degankolb but still have enough in the tank to beat cancellara gilbert etc. It sure would be a breakthrough win for him0
