If the sky riders don't flip a coin for it in the bus on the way in there could be a real titanic battle between Little Pete, G and the Yates boys. Potentially the best contested in some time? Shouldn't rule Swifty out if he's riding but it isn't a gallop finish

Disappointed in Geraint and corporate Sky but it is not too surprising and you can't blame them too much. Pinot said he wouldn't do the French nationals as they are on the other side of France (even though they are almost always designed for sprinters anyway) and the big GC riders don't ride the Nationals particularly often.Contador is the Greatest0

I image if he'd pottered around Switzerland in 20th place he'd have been there, but he had a hard week. Its a shame about G, but there are many other quality riders there. it'll be entertaining, hopefully. I agree with previous comments that lil Pete does look good in the jersey. have w ever a had a 2 in a row Jersey winner in recent times?0

I get the whole riding for the team thing, but wearing the National champs jersey must be a source of immense pride. Having said that G looked completely cooked at the end of the TDS, so i get why he's not going to be there.

allegedly...there is a story a few years back of how Little Pete was "defying orders" in one champs when he went off on a frolic of his own and eventually finished second0
